We had 82 courses taken by seniors, who without this opportunity, would not have graduated.
Aventa Learning by K¹² supports schools and districts from the time they start researching online learning options, during implementation, and once your online learning program is up and running, supporting your students, mentors and teachers is our number one priority.

Mentor program
Mentors are chosen by the school and trained and supported by Aventa. They act as liaisons between Aventa and their school and their responsibilities include:
- Providing on-site help to students
- Building relationships with students and helping them stay on pace
- Proctoring exams
Aventa provides a variety of reports that help mentors ensure that students make academic progress. To ensure a successful Mentor program at your school, Aventa Learning provides a comprehensive Mentor Training Program. This program trains Mentors to be effective student supporters and includes virtual Mentor Training Sessions. The sessions help new Mentors get up to speed, but also provide refresher material for current Mentors.

Teacher Training
For schools and districts that choose to have their own faculty teach Aventa online curriculum, we can provide training on a number of topics, including:
online teaching best practices,
- how to engage online learners,
- how to monitor student progress,
- how to regulate student behavior in an online forum,
- how to navigate Aventa courses,
- how to effectively use our learning management system, and
- how to effectively use the many classroom management tools and reports we have created.
Whether your teachers are new to online learning or are experienced online educators who are adopting the Aventa curriculum for the first time, we can customize a teacher training session just for you.
Student Support
For schools and districts opting to have Aventa faculty teach, the bulk of student support comes directly from the Aventa teachers. Our teachers are specifically trained to engage students in an online environment. Besides hosting real time sessions teachers engage students through regular emails and are available in real-time by phone or instant message Monday through Friday, 8AM to 11PM (ET). We also offer a 24-7 student help desk for any technical issues that may arise.
In addition, Aventa has created a resource center just for students. Here students can get a quick overview of what to expect from their online classes, tools and tips for succeeding, and where to turn if they need help.
