Biology: Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration
The Stages of Photosynthesis
Photosynthesis, as presented on the previous pages, includes the following three stages:
- Stage I: Energy is captured from sunlight.
- Stage II: Energy is temporarily stored in ATP and NADPH.
- Stage III: Organic compounds are made using ATP, NADPH, and carbon dioxide. These organic compounds store energy and serve as food for organisms.
Several environmental factors may affect the rate of photosynthesis. These include light intensity, the concentration of carbon dioxide, water availability, and temperature.
Now that you have reviewed all of the course material in this section, go back and retake P-Quiz 2. Once you have successfully mastered (passed) P-Quiz 2 proceed to P-Quiz 3, which is worth 10 points. |
